Under the background of“Double carbon” target, new energy storage has become a key support for the construction of a new power system. The Ningxia Yongning 200MW/400MWh shared independent energy storage project co-constructed by inbev smart storage has been officially put into operation.

The total scale of the project is 200MW/400MWh, and a total of 80 sets of 2.5 MW energy storage converters are configured to form a standardized power station module, which greatly shortens the construction period and improves the on-site deployment efficiency.As a benchmarking project for large-scale independent energy storage in the northwest region, the project not only marks a solid step forward in regional energy transformation, but also uses innovative sharing mode and advanced equipment technology, INPOWER energy storage solutions for large wind and solar bases.

Improving the ability to absorb new energy
Yongning and its surrounding area are rich in wind and solar resources, but the output is highly volatile. The energy storage project will store power during periods of high wind and solar power, and discharge it when demand is high or output is low, significantly reducing curtailment of wind and solar power and making full use of every kilowatt hour of green power.
With its millisecond-level response capability, the project can provide fast frequency support and power reserve for the power grid, smooth fluctuations in renewable energy output, and improve voltage and frequency stability, more reliable power supply for local production and living.
Promoting low-carbon transformation of energy structure
As a shared independent energy storage, the project breaks the traditional“One-to-one” matching limitation, realizes the efficient reuse of energy storage resources, reduces the cost of new energy stations, and accelerates the replacement of coal power, promoting the transformation of the northwest from an“Energy base” to a“Green power highland”.
